“Apple Unveils iPhone 17 Lineup: iPhone Air, Pro Models Revealed”

Apple has revealed its newest lineup of iPhones. The company showcased the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and iPhone Air during its annual event at its California headquarters on September 9.

Pre-orders for these models will begin at 1 pm on September 12, with availability starting on September 19. Various retailers such as Sky Mobile, EE, Mobiles.co.uk, Vodafone, and Three have confirmed they will stock the devices, with pricing details to follow.

Customers can also purchase the phones directly from Apple and Amazon starting September 12. The standout addition to the iPhone range is the iPhone Air, touted as the thinnest iPhone ever. Interested buyers can find more details in our first-look piece.

The starting price for the iPhone Air is set at £999 or £41.62 per month by Apple, with other retailers expected to announce their prices soon. Some retailers are offering incentives for pre-orders, such as Mobiles.co.uk providing a £20 Currys gift card for those who register and pre-order.

Weighing 165g and measuring just 5.1mm thick, the iPhone Air is the first smartphone in Apple’s ‘Air’ range. It features a Grade 5 titanium frame made with 80% recycled titanium, offering both strength and aesthetics. The device boasts a 6.5″ Super Retina XDR display with a durable Ceramic Shield, making it highly resistant to cracks and scratches.

The iPhone Air is powered by the latest A19 Pro chip, claimed to be the fastest processor in any smartphone, ensuring smooth performance for demanding tasks. Additionally, customers can enjoy Apple TV+ free with a seven-day trial, providing access to popular shows like Severance, Ted Lasso, and Slow Horses.

The device offers improved battery life, capable of up to 27 hours of video playback on a single charge and quick charging to 50% in just 30 minutes. With a 48MP Fusion camera system and an 8MP Centre Stage front camera, photography enthusiasts will appreciate the high-resolution image capture capabilities.

The iPhone Air comes with iOS 26 out of the box, introducing features like liquid glass design, a dynamic lock screen, call hold assist, and call screening. The device offers AI features for simplifying tasks including live translation, photo clean up, and visual intelligence.

Available in storage options of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB, the iPhone Air comes in Sky Blue, Cloud White, Light Gold, and Space Black color variants.
