“US Congress Requests Interview with Prince Andrew on Epstein”

Date:

Sir Keir Starmer faced questions regarding Andrew Mountbatten Windsor following a request from the US Congress for him to participate in a recorded interview concerning his association with Jeffrey Epstein. The US lawmakers, in a letter sent to the ex-prince on Thursday, highlighted financial records mentioning “massage for Andrew,” raising significant concerns.

The Prime Minister commented that whether Andrew agrees to the interview is ultimately his decision. While in Brazil for the Cop30 summit, he stated that individuals with pertinent information should be willing to cooperate with inquiries, but the choice to participate is personal.

The formal request from Congress coincided with King Charles officially removing his disgraced brother’s HRH style and prince title. Signed by 16 Congress members, the letter asked Andrew to respond by November 20, seeking his cooperation in the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein’s criminal activities and associates.

Allegations against Andrew, coupled with his connection to Epstein, suggest he may possess knowledge relevant to the investigation. The letter urged him to cooperate in the interest of achieving justice for Epstein’s victims by participating in a recorded interview with the committee.

Following accusations in Virginia Giuffre’s posthumous memoir, Andrew lost his titles. Giuffre claimed she was coerced into sexual encounters with Andrew on three occasions, including at Ghislaine Maxwell’s London residence, Epstein’s Manhattan address, and Epstein’s private island. Despite the allegations, the former prince vehemently denies any wrongdoing.
