Amazon is rolling out a new and improved Fire TV experience for Fire TV devices this month. The updated interface is designed to be cleaner, faster, and more organized, aiming to enhance the user experience by facilitating content discovery.
Enhancements in this update include the addition of categories for easier navigation through movies, TV shows, news, live content, and sports from all your subscribed services. Users can now pin their favorite apps to the home screen for quick access, benefit from a user-friendly new menu system, and access a Shortcut Panel instantly by pressing and holding the Home button without interrupting their viewing experience.
Moreover, this system update is available for free and offers a performance boost of up to 30%. Fire TV users can also look forward to a dedicated football hub to stay updated on upcoming matches and access live games from local providers.
The new Fire TV experience is currently being rolled out to Fire TV Stick HD (newest model) and Amazon Ember Artline devices. Amazon plans to extend the update to other models, such as the Fire TV Stick 4K Max, in the near future.
For users who have not received the update yet, Amazon suggests restarting their device by navigating to Settings > My Fire TV > Restart. If the new interface is still not visible after the restart, it indicates that the update has not reached the device, but it will automatically arrive in the following weeks without any additional action required.
Amazon expressed excitement about expanding the availability of the updated experience to more Fire TV devices in the future and encouraged users to stay tuned for further updates.
