A man, aged 68 from the UK, was fatally shot during a robbery in southern Ghana as confirmed by local authorities. The incident occurred on a Friday at a drinking establishment near the Community Nine cemetery in Tema, approximately 15 miles east of Accra, the country’s capital. The victim was swiftly transported to Tema General Hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.

A 9mm spent shell was discovered at the crime scene and is being examined for evidential purposes, as stated in the police report. Witnesses have been interviewed, and steps are being taken to notify the British High Commission about the demise of a British citizen.

A representative from the Foreign Office informed The Mirror that they are offering assistance to the family of the deceased individual in Ghana.
