An individual who transitioned from being an OnlyFans model and adult film actress to a murderer has been sentenced to 22 and-a-half years in jail for killing a man in Cleveland, US. Chelsea Perkins, a 35-year-old US Coast Guard veteran, admitted to murdering Matthew Dunmire, 31. The FBI revealed that Dunmire informed friends about meeting a woman for the weekend, leading to the tragic chain of events.
Perkins, accompanied by her husband’s white car, took Dunmire to an Airbnb she had rented using a credit card before driving to a park where Dunmire was fatally shot on March 6, 2021. Following her guilty plea to second-degree murder and firearm-related charges, Perkins was sentenced by US District Judge Solomon Oliver Jr to serve 22-and-a-half years in prison, with an additional five years of supervised release.
After the crime, Perkins traveled to Michigan to get a tattoo before returning to Virginia. She expressed remorse in court, taking responsibility for her actions. Despite accusing Dunmire of rape, no charges were brought against him due to insufficient evidence. Investigators linked Perkins to the murder through surveillance footage, text messages, and ballistic evidence found in her home, including a fake suicide note on her phone.
During the court proceedings, Dunmire’s father lamented the loss of his son, emphasizing the impact on his grandchildren. In a tragic turn of events, Dunmire’s mother, Tommie Lynn Dunmire, became increasingly unstable and sought revenge, ultimately shooting a woman in a mistaken identity case. The woman survived, while Tommie Lynn Dunmire committed suicide after the incident. Her partner, John Nelson McQuillen, was sentenced to 42 months in prison for being an accessory to the crime.
McQuillen’s lawyer described the events as a unique and tragic series of incidents, involving the murder of Dunmire and the subsequent suicide of his partner, making it an unprecedented and sorrowful situation.
