LG TV owners are in for a treat this holiday season as LG has announced a significant upgrade to its LG Channels platform. This update, which is currently being rolled out, includes new features and additional free content, including shows from Sky like Sky Sports Stories, Sky Sports Vault, and Sky Sports Classics without the need for a subscription. The latest update also introduces new channels such as LG1 Christmas, FIFA+ Women Channel, and DP World Tour, catering to various interests from festive viewing to sports enthusiasts.
LG Channels, known for its Free Ad-Supported Television (FAST) services, will now offer a more personalized experience with content recommendations and a refreshed user interface for easier navigation. A new “Quick Access” feature allows viewers to access channel information, TV guide, favorites, and popular content instantly by pressing the “OK” button on the LG Magic Remote while watching a program.
Chris Jo, Head of the webOS Platform Business Centre at LG Media Entertainment Solution Company, emphasized the aim of LG Channels to provide seamless access to high-quality and engaging content. With the latest upgrade, including enhanced personalization features and a new logo, LG is committed to enhancing the viewing experience for its global user base.
