“Hunt for Melbourne Murder Gang After Brutal Deaths”

Date:

Police are on a mission to track down a ruthless murder gang believed to be behind the tragic deaths of two young boys. The victims, aged 12 and 15, named Dau Akueng, were brutally killed in a suspected gang assault. Shockingly, one of the boys had his hand severed during the attack. Authorities suspect that up to eight masked individuals, allegedly youth gang members armed with machetes and other weapons, orchestrated the killings in the vicinity of Melbourne, Australia.

Law enforcement officials discovered the lifeless bodies of the teenagers at two different locations merely 200 meters apart in Cobblebank. The 12-year-old was fatally stabbed, while Dau suffered mutilation injuries and was also found deceased. Families of the victims mentioned that the boys, accompanied by friends, were returning home from a nearby basketball stadium.

Initially considered separate targeted incidents, the deaths were later deemed to exhibit characteristics of youth gang-related crimes by Victoria Police. Detective Inspector Graham Banks suggested that the groups involved may have had prior connections, though the possibility of mistaken identity was not ruled out.

Describing the attackers as concealing their identities and fleeing in a vehicle, Banks emphasized the severity of the violence, labeling it as a disturbing example of youth gang violence. He stressed that the victims were not affiliated with any gang and urged the public not to withhold information regarding the case.

Heartbroken by his son’s tragic fate, Dau’s father, Elbino, lamented that his son was killed while returning from a basketball game. A family friend, Aboil Alor, who knew Dau from the basketball club, remembered him as a bright and admirable young man. She called for swift police action to bring justice for the boys and provide solace to their loved ones.

Authorities vowed to dedicate all necessary resources to the investigation, expressing determination to apprehend the perpetrators promptly. The Collingwood Basketball Association, where Dau was actively involved, mourned his loss, acknowledging his impact both on and off the court as profound.
