“Sky Q vs. Manhattan T4-R: Ultimate TV Recording Showdown”

Date:

Sky Q continues to be a top choice for recording live TV, offering access to numerous channels and the ability to record and store content on its built-in hard drive. Despite Sky focusing more on its streaming devices, Sky Q is still available for purchase starting at £32 per month.

Key features of Sky Q include full voice search, integration with popular apps like Netflix, content recommendations, and a user-friendly TV guide. For those hesitant about committing to a long-term contract, Argos is now offering the Manhattan T4-R box at its lowest price ever.

The Manhattan T4-R box is comparable to Sky Q, boasting a built-in hard drive capable of storing over 1,100 hours of content. Users can record two programs simultaneously while watching a third, and gain access to a vast library of on-demand shows and movies totaling 60,000 hours.

Priced at £217, Argos offers the premium 2TB Manhattan T4-R variant, with a 1TB option also available. Once purchased, there are no monthly fees as the Manhattan T4-R operates on Freeview, providing free access to over 100 channels. John Lewis is offering an even lower price of £215.17, a discount from the original RRP.

It’s important to note that Freeview devices like the Manhattan T4-R do not support premium channels such as Sky Sports or Sky Cinema. Therefore, individuals interested in these devices should consider their content preferences before making a decision.
