Police are currently probing whether an accomplice assisted Tyler Robinson, the suspected killer of Charlie Kirk. Recent footage, discovered by the FBI, purportedly captures the accused gunman discussing the shooting on a doorbell camera shortly after Kirk’s demise at a rally in Utah Valley University. The video has sparked speculation on whether Robinson, aged 22, received help in the murder or if someone was aware of the crime but chose to remain silent.
A nearby family provided the police with the footage, which shows a man passing by their house and conversing on the phone about the shooting moments after it occurred. Tyler Robinson was apprehended two days following Kirk’s fatal shooting at the rally, where the 31-year-old conservative activist was shot in the neck during a debate. Robinson’s father, a former law enforcement official, turned him in to the authorities.
Reportedly, Robinson confessed to the killing when confronted by his father, expressing a reluctance to surrender. Governor Cox mentioned that the suspect had become increasingly politically active and had discussed Kirk’s upcoming visit to Utah with family members. Authorities discovered a gun wrapped in a towel and bullet casings with various inscriptions near the crime scene, including messages like “Hey fascist! Catch!” and “if you read this you are gay lmao”.
Erika, Kirk’s grieving wife, shared a heart-wrenching moment when she comforted their daughter by saying “Daddy’s on a work trip with Jesus” after his demise. She also posted tributes on social media, including a photo of her beside Kirk’s casket. In a tragic video, Erika is seen holding her late husband’s hand and tearfully expressing her love for him.
Former President Trump, speaking from the Oval Office, hailed Kirk as a “martyr for truth and freedom” and criticized the demonization of political adversaries. Trump attributed Kirk’s assassination to the rhetoric of the “radical left.” Robinson’s parents, Matthew Carl Robinson and Amber Denise Robinson, are registered Republicans according to state records.
