A recent social media post by Charlie Kirk has sparked speculation online after he eerily discussed being “shot,” leading some to believe he foreshadowed his own demise.
The 31-year-old conservative figure was fatally shot during a speech at Utah Valley University, with authorities labeling it a politically motivated assassination. The assailant, who shot from a nearby building and then fled through a parking lot, remains at large.
A staunch supporter of Donald Trump, Kirk was praised posthumously by the former president as a “martyr for truth and freedom,” while Vice-President JD Vance described him as a loyal friend and devoted family man.
Known for his influence in mobilizing young Republican voters, Kirk was addressing a crowd at the rally when a gunshot suddenly rang out, causing chaos as he grasped his neck in pain.
It has come to light that Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, had previously made a cryptic post on social media dating back to 2014 where he mentioned being shot by an AR-15 rifle, a weapon commonly associated with mass shootings. However, authorities revealed that the actual firearm used in the attack was a Mauser .30-caliber bolt-action rifle.
Law enforcement recovered a spent cartridge from the gun’s chamber and found additional rounds in the magazine, which are currently undergoing forensic analysis at a federal lab.
Following Kirk’s tragic death, his followers pointed to his past social media post, with some expressing astonishment at his apparent premonition.
The suspect in custody for the shooting of Charlie Kirk has been identified as Tyler Robinson, 22, who was apprehended two days after the incident with the help of his father, a former law enforcement official.
The tragic shooting took place during Kirk’s speech to a large audience at Utah Valley University in Orem.
