Two young entrepreneurs in Windsor, Gavin Campeau and Alden Hartleib, have found a unique way to earn money by offering to clean their neighbors’ garbage, recycle, and compost bins. The duo, aged 12 and 13, operate as the Riverside Bin Bros, providing power washing and soap cleaning services for a fee.
Inspired by a TikTok video, Campeau and Hartleib decided to bring the bin cleaning idea to their community. Apart from the financial aspect, the boys have enjoyed the opportunity to interact with their neighbors and learn about their summer activities.
Their initiative has garnered positive feedback from the Riverside community, with one member expressing gratitude for the service on a Facebook community board. Both boys’ parents are supportive of their entrepreneurial spirit, emphasizing the importance of independence and productivity at a young age.
The parents also highlight the benefits of this venture in keeping children away from excessive screen time and encouraging outdoor activity.
