“Tyson Fury Shocks Fans with Boxing Retirement Decision”

Date:

Tyson Fury recently declared that he has no intention of stepping into the boxing ring again, contradicting earlier reports of his comeback plans. This decision follows his retirement announcement in January after a defeat by Oleksandr Usyk, marking his fourth retirement from the sport. Saudi boxing chief Turki Alalshikh had previously confirmed Fury’s return, expressing excitement about his participation in the Riyadh Season in 2026.

Initially, Fury hinted at a potential trilogy fight against Usyk at Wembley Stadium in April 2026. However, during an event at Doncaster Racecourse, Fury shifted gears by stating that he has no plans for a comeback, citing his age as a limiting factor in the physically demanding sport of boxing.

While at the Doncaster Racecourse filming for his documentary series, “At Home With The Furys,” Fury experienced disappointment as his racehorse, Big Gypsy King, failed to perform well in a race, finishing in 11th place. Despite this setback, Fury, along with his manager Spencer Brown, remains engaged in the horse racing world, particularly in National Hunt racing.

In related horse racing news, notable bloodstock agent Jerry McGrath acquired Cossack Chach and Sea The Clouds at the Goffs UK October Sale in Doncaster, with both horses showing promising results in their races. Sea The Clouds, in particular, recouped a significant portion of his purchase price with a successful race at Cartmel in July.

Additionally, Sky is offering a discounted Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle ahead of the 2025/26 season, providing members with access to over 1,400 live matches across various leagues. Sky’s coverage includes at least 215 live Premier League games for the upcoming season, a substantial increase from previous offerings.
