Dominic Chinea from The Repair Shop has revealed that his work schedule has become hectic due to the numerous projects he is handling. The skilled artisan shared this information in a video on his YouTube channel, where he is showcasing his ambitious undertaking to build a racing car powered by a World War One aircraft engine.
In the video, the popular figure from The Repair Shop mentioned that the chaos in his work life is mainly a result of filming a new television series for UKTV, preventing him from disclosing specific details at the moment.
He explained, “There has been significant progress in the workshop as you can see behind me. However, to discover more, you’ll have to watch the upcoming TV show on UKTV. Despite the ongoing chaos, as the TV show wraps up, I will have more time to focus on my personal projects and delve into them.”
This is not the first time Dominic has mentioned his latest TV endeavor. Earlier this year, he provided insights about the program on his YouTube channel.
He said, “I am working on a new TV show, and that’s confidential information for now. It’s a thrilling project that is just commencing, and the progress is already exhilarating. I am eager to share more details soon, and hopefully, we’ll be cruising in a Defender once it’s fixed.”
Dominic, a valued member of The Repair Shop team since 2017, has consistently impressed fans with his automotive expertise and dedication. Recently, he surprised his followers by acquiring a new vehicle, stating, “In the previous video, some of you might have noticed that I purchased a new (Land Rover) Defender.”
“It’s a TD5 2000, possibly 2001, 110 long bed pickup. It’s currently in the workshop on stands with the hood open due to mechanical issues. It turned out to be an unexpected project.”
Dominic’s latest venture follows his significant decision to move from Kent to Cornwall.
He shared, “The move has been truly life-changing. I am settled and content. Having a workshop at home has been a long-standing dream that has finally come true, although it required immense effort. The place is still a work in progress, and I’m still clearing the space where my tools are kept.”
“It has been a transformative journey, relocating to a different part of the country, far from anyone. Yet, it has been rewarding and fulfilling.”
