“Tesco Mobile Extends Free Roaming Service in EU”

Date:

Tesco Mobile has decided to prolong its complimentary roaming service, offering a significant benefit to customers traveling overseas. The mobile network now allows free roaming, encompassing UK texts, calls, and data, in 48 EU destinations. Originally set to conclude in 2026, Tesco Mobile has chosen to extend this roaming service beyond the initial timeline.

The list of applicable destinations where this service is available can be found below. Previously, mobile companies were prohibited from imposing additional charges for utilizing UK allowances, including calls, texts, and data, while vacationing in the EU. This regulation no longer applies post-Brexit.

Laura Joseph, the Chief Customer Officer at Tesco Mobile, emphasized the importance of keeping families connected while traveling. She stated, “We understand the significance of maintaining communication with your loved ones, whether it’s sharing holiday moments, keeping in touch with family, or navigating new places. Our decision to extend the roaming offer reflects our commitment to providing customers the freedom to utilize their UK data, minutes, and texts in 48 EU destinations and more, without any extra costs. This hassle-free service, with no setup, hidden fees, or stress, aims to alleviate concerns while you’re away.”
