Tesco is set to raise the price of its meal deal starting this Thursday. Clubcard members will see the cost go up from £3.60 to £3.85, while non-members will pay £4.25, up from £4.
The current favorite items in the supermarket meal deal include the Tesco Chicken Club Sandwich, Tesco Egg Protein Pot, and a 500ml Coca-Cola. Buying these separately would total £6.50, but Clubcard members save £2.65. The premium Tesco meal deal will now cost £5.50 for Clubcard holders and £6 for non-members.
This marks the third price increase for Clubcard members and the fourth for non-members. Tesco plans to introduce new products to its premium meal deal soon, such as Finest Salmon Konbini Roll and Finest Gochujang Konbini Roll sushi mains.
A Tesco spokesperson emphasized that the meal deal remains a great value at £3.85 for a main, snack, and drink with a Clubcard. The supermarket is encouraging Clubcard members to check their receipts for a chance to win a new Vauxhall Frontera Electric car as part of its Clubcard celebrations.
To enter the competition, shoppers need to scan a QR code on selected receipts or visit tesco.com/vauxhallcompetition. The winner will be chosen randomly from Clubcard members with correct entries, with the competition closing on August 31. The prize car is a Frontera Electric GS 44kWh 113PS with the optional Ultimate Pack and Canyon Orange metallic paint, valued at £25,995 OTR.
