“Sky TV Overhaul: 30+ Channel Changes & Free Movies!”

Date:

Sky TV viewers are in for a shake-up this week as the company is making changes to over 30 channels on its platform. The focus of the revamp is on radio channels like BBC, Capital FM, Heart, and talkSPORT, all aimed at streamlining the viewing experience.

The channel reorganization is part of Sky’s initiative to optimize its Electronic Program Guide (EPG) by consolidating services for easier access to preferred content. The update is set to roll out starting May 27th, with some users already receiving the new channel placement on their Sky Q boxes.

Among the notable shifts are talkSPORT moving from Channel 0108 to Channel 0107, Capital FM from Channel 0109 to Channel 0108, and Heart from Channel 0111 to Channel 0109, along with several other stations adjusting their positions on the TV planner.

It’s important to note that subscribers do not need to manually adjust any settings as the changes will be implemented automatically. Additionally, Sky is offering free movies until May 31 as a gesture of goodwill for a recent service disruption, with popular titles like Bullet Train, Jumanji: The Next Level, and Venom included in the complimentary selection.

To claim the free movie, Sky Q customers can access the Sky Store from the homepage and select the ‘Your Sky Store gift on us’ tile to choose a film for permanent ownership. This promotional offer is part of Sky’s efforts to enhance user experience and express appreciation to its loyal subscribers.
