“Peppa Pig Doll & Formula 1 Lego Among Top Christmas Toys”

Date:

Peppa Pig, Wicked dolls, Formula 1 Lego, and Hot Wheels have been identified as some of the key toys to have for the upcoming Christmas season. Industry experts and toy retailers have shared their predictions for the top-selling products featured on the 2025 DreamToys list. One standout item is the Peppa Pig Oinks & Snuggles Evie Doll, offering more than 20 interactive sounds and accessories like a playmat, bottle, dummy, bib, and blanket.

Another popular choice is the Jurassic World Primal Hatch T.Rex, allowing kids to hatch their very own dinosaur by tapping the egg shell and engaging in nurturing and play activities. The Wicked For Good Singing Dolls are also expected to be in high demand, coinciding with the release of the franchise’s second and final movie this month.

Celebrating its 75th anniversary, Formula 1 is represented on the list by Lego and Mattel’s Hot Wheels Racing F1 Grand Prix Circuit, as well as the Monster Jam Smash & Bash Grave Digger RC. Additionally, there are collectibles such as Dress to Impress Mystery Model Dolls, Mini Brands – Fill the Fridge Playset, and Pokemon.

Building sets have shown significant growth for the second consecutive year, with Lego featuring two sets on the list – Speed Champions F1 Racing Cars and the One Piece the Going Merry Pirate Ship. The UK toy market has reached a value of £3.9 billion, with Christmas sales expected to contribute 23% of total annual sales.

Parents are increasing their spending on children’s gifts by 12% year on year, reflecting the fourth consecutive year of growth, according to market research firm The Insights Family. Paul Reader, chairman of the DreamToys selection panel at the Toy Retailers Association, emphasized the diverse and imaginative range of toys on this year’s list, providing inspiration for gift-givers and aiding in selecting the perfect present for the festive season.

Melissa Symonds, executive director of UK toys at Circana, highlighted the positive growth in the toy market this year after a period of subdued growth, indicating a promising outlook for both toy manufacturers and retailers as they approach the crucial holiday shopping season.
