Oasis is currently halfway through their Live ’25 reunion tour, having completed the US leg and gearing up for two performances in Mexico City before heading back to the UK for shows at Wembley Stadium in London.
Liam and Noel Gallagher wrapped up their five-show US tour with two nights in Pasadena, California, where they attracted a star-studded audience including Rita Ora, Salma Hayek, and Leonardo DiCaprio. Among the attendees, Paul McCartney stood out by standing up and recording a video of Noel performing “Little By Little” while everyone else in his section remained seated.
At 83 years old, the Beatles legend, accompanied by his wife, Nancy Shevell, summed up the concert in one word, calling it “fabulous.” Despite McCartney being spotted at the back of the Rose Bowl stadium in Pasadena, video footage showed him enjoying the performance while those around him stayed seated, seemingly disengaged.
Some viewers questioned why McCartney wasn’t given better seating, suggesting VIP seats would have been more suitable, although a private booth behind him indicated he had premium tickets. Fans noted that McCartney’s presence held special significance for Liam and Noel, who have been influenced by the Beatles throughout their musical careers.
During the Live ’25 tour, Oasis paid homage to the Beatles by incorporating a snippet of “Octopus’ Garden” into their song “Whatever.” In a lighthearted moment in 2015, Noel Gallagher joked about an Oasis reunion, saying it would only happen if Paul McCartney wrote a comeback single for them.
Fans expressed their excitement over McCartney attending the concert, highlighting the significance for the Gallagher brothers to have one of their idols in the audience. Many saw it as a surreal moment, with one fan describing it as a “crazy full-circle moment” for Liam and Noel, transitioning from idolizing the Beatles to having one of its founding members present at their own show.
