New Look has introduced its inaugural loyalty program offering special discounts to members.
The free-to-join Club New Look provides various benefits such as weekly exclusive prices on selected items, early access to sales, promotions, and participation in exclusive competitions.
Upon joining, members receive a 25% welcome discount. New Look aims to enhance the shopping experience for its 10 million known customers by offering personalized services.
CEO Helen Connolly expressed the company’s commitment to acknowledging and rewarding customers through Club New Look. With a soft launch attracting 500,000 members, New Look targets 800,000 members by the end of the financial year.
The company plans to expand the loyalty scheme nationally as part of its strategy to create a more personalized and digitally driven shopping experience.
In related news, New Look closed several stores this year, including 26 in the Republic of Ireland as it exits the nation. The Times reported the brand’s intention to accelerate store closures due to rising costs from increased minimum wage and National Insurance rates.
Although a quarter of stores may be at risk, New Look did not confirm this information. As of now, the retailer operates 338 stores in the UK.
Meanwhile, US fashion brand Anthropologie announced the opening of three new stores in the UK, expanding its presence on the high street. The new stores will open in Liverpool, Glasgow, and Manchester on specific dates in November.
Gap is also returning to the UK high street with three standalone stores. The brand, which first entered the UK in 1987, will open its flagship store in Covent Garden, followed by branches in Westfield London and Wembley Park London Designer Outlet in December.
Gap currently operates shop-in-shop concepts within Next stores and has over 40 concessions in Next stores across England and Ireland.
