“Mother’s Horror: Stranger Snatches Child at Airport”

Date:

A mother underwent a frightening experience at an airport when another woman took her young child, claiming he was her son.

Initially appearing helpful, the accused woman, Alvina Omisiri Agba, approached the crying four-year-old boy at an airport checkpoint. The mother allowed Agba to hold the child to calm him down.

However, the situation turned alarming as Agba, a 23-year-old from Luton, England, allegedly refused to return the child after taking him away at Miami International Airport’s check-in counter, as per the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office report.

Witness Dayanis Ojeda, a GlobalX supervisor, described how Agba snatched the child and slammed him on the floor before Naylet Montano intervened and retrieved the boy.

Although the police report did not mention the child being slammed, it confirmed the mother’s account of Agba taking the child after offering to help.

The mother confronted Agba, who claimed the child was hers and resisted returning him. A struggle ensued, with Montano eventually securing the child behind the counter as Agba attempted to reclaim him.

Agba was apprehended by deputies at another checkpoint and arrested. Initially citing taking the child to a rainbow-adorned wall as her motive, Agba later stated she did it because “God told her to.”

Charged with battery and interference with custody, Agba is held on bond at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Centre. The child sustained minor injuries but was able to continue the journey with his mother.
