Morrisons has introduced a new Wheel of Prizes feature for users of its More Card app, offering a chance to win free shopping for a year. The giveaway is ongoing until August 25, allowing More Card holders to win a prize weekly with a purchase of £10 or more either online or in-store.
Prizes include More Card points and complimentary products, with seven lucky shoppers winning free shopping for a year valued at £3,000 each week. Users can spin the wheel once a week within the More Card app.
For non-app users, a Wheel of Prizes coupon will be provided at the checkout, excluding purchases at Morrisons Daily convenience stores, Deliveroo, or Amazon. This initiative follows a recent introduction by a major broadband provider of a £60 charge with a deadline for action.
Gareth Lloyd, Director of Loyalty at Morrisons, expressed that the Wheel of Prizes aims to bring joy to customers’ weekly shopping experiences, offering surprises and rewards to More Card members as a token of appreciation for choosing Morrisons.
Morrisons More members earn five More points by scanning their card during in-store or online purchases. Upon accumulating 5,000 points, customers receive a Morrisons Fiver worth £5 for future in-store or online shopping. Additionally, Morrisons More provides personalized discounts for shoppers.
The supermarket also announced the launch of More Partner Points, allowing customers to earn points when shopping with select retailers. More Card members can accumulate points with over 300 participating brands such as eBay, Very, Just Eat, Expedia, and ASOS.
To access More Partner Points, users can log into the Morrisons More app or website, browse through the options, and click on a retailer. The points earned are automatically tracked and added to the Morrisons account, with all purchases needing to be made through the Morrisons More app or website to receive points. This digital-only feature is available to all registered More Card customers.
Morrisons recently closed 17 Morrisons Daily stores, 35 meat counters, 35 fish counters, 52 in-store cafes, all 18 Market Kitchens, 13 florists, and four pharmacies as part of its operational changes.
