Notably, some of these extensions also target the Edge browser powered by Chrome. To mitigate the risk, users are advised to clear their browsing data immediately and monitor their accounts for any suspicious activities. Enabling two-factor authentication and resetting browser settings to default are recommended steps to safeguard against potential threats.
