Kendrick Lamar leads Grammy nominations with 9 nods

Date:

The nominations for the Grammy Awards have been revealed, with Taylor Swift missing out on a nod while Kendrick Lamar secures an impressive nine nominations. Lamar’s album “GNX” leads the pack of hip-hop contenders, alongside other notable albums like Tyler, the Creator’s “Chromakopia” and Clipse’s “Let God Sort Em Out.”

In addition to Lamar, top nominees include Lady Gaga, producer Jack Antonoff, and Sabrina Carpenter. British rock star Yungblud also received three nominations, but Swift, despite having a hugely successful album this year, did not receive any nods due to the eligibility period.

Swift’s album “Life of a Showgirl” missed out on nominations as it was released after the eligibility window for the 68th Grammy Awards. As a result, she will have to wait until the 2027 Grammy Awards to submit her record for consideration.

Elsewhere, Timothée Chalamet is nominated for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media for his role in “A Complete Unknown” portraying Bob Dylan. The competition includes strong contenders like “Wicked,” “KPop Demon Hunters,” “Sinners,” and “F1 the Album.”

The 2026 Grammy Awards ceremony is set to air live on February 1 on CBS and Paramount+ from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. For more entertainment news and updates, follow Mirror Celebs on TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and Threads.
