Selena Gomez, a well-known singer and actor, is facing a lawsuit from investors who allege she engaged in fraudulent activities by neglecting her responsibilities to develop and promote her mental health startup.
Investors put in approximately $1.2 million in Wondermind Global, a venture launched in 2021 with the aim of enhancing users’ “mental fitness.” The lawsuit, filed in federal court in Delaware, claims that despite assurances that Gomez, a prominent figure with over 500 million followers on social media, would actively participate in the company’s marketing efforts, she and other company executives failed to deliver on their commitments, such as the creation of a mobile app.
According to the lawsuit, Gomez purportedly agreed to contractual obligations but did not follow through. The plaintiffs argue that the company did not have a viable business plan and failed to fulfill even basic obligations like timely payments to employees and vendors.
A spokesperson for Gomez has not yet responded to requests for comment. The lawsuit asserts that the investors were unaware of the company’s challenges until they were revealed in an online news report in September 2025. The plaintiffs are seeking to recover their investments along with legal costs.
