An online personality known as the “human Barbie” was discovered deceased and partially unclothed at the residence of a public official.
Barbara Jankavski Marquez, aged 31, was tragically found dead after the public defender, aged 51, informed authorities that he had engaged her for “sexual services” the previous night. The official, residing at the location where the deceased influencer was found on Sunday, alleged that they had consumed drugs together. As the influencer started coughing repeatedly and eventually seemed to fall asleep while watching TV in the Lapa district of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Reportedly, the official attempted resuscitation efforts for approximately nine minutes before realizing she had ceased moving, prompting him to contact emergency services.
Medical personnel declared the influencer deceased around 9 pm, after discovering her lying on her back with only underwear, a lesion on her left eye, and marks on her back.
A female acquaintance of the public defender, aged 43, informed investigators that she had been at the residence earlier that day but was not present when the “human Barbie” passed away. She stated witnessing the influencer slip and injure her eye around 4 am.
Authorities disclosed that the incident was classified as a suspicious death, pending forensic and toxicological analyses to establish the cause of death.
According to reports, both witnesses will be summoned for further interrogation, with the influencer’s family members anticipated to be interviewed as part of the ongoing investigation.
Barbara, also recognized as “Boneca Desumana” (‘Inhuman Doll’) online, amassed over 344,000 followers on TikTok and 55,000 on Instagram, where she documented her extensive cosmetic surgery journey.
Undergoing a series of 27 plastic surgeries totaling more than £43,000 (BRL 300,000), including procedures such as neck, abdomen, and leg liposuction, breast and buttock augmentations, eyebrow lifts, and five rhinoplasties to achieve a doll-like appearance.
This incident follows the tragic death of an actress and influencer, believed to have been brutally murdered shortly after a live stream by a VIP fan. Yoon Ji-ah was assaulted and strangled to death, with her body abandoned in a suitcase in the mountains on 11 September.
Yoon had been filming in Yeongjong Island, Incheon, South Korea, approximately a three-hour drive from where her body was eventually located. An autopsy revealed her cause of death as asphyxiation due to neck compression.
