Google has introduced a new Chromebook, the Chromebook Plus 14, in collaboration with Lenovo, aiming to attract users who cannot afford a MacBook and are not fans of Windows 11. Powered by the MediaTek Kompanio Ultra processor, this Chromebook boasts impressive performance, making it one of the most robust Chrome laptops available.
Equipped with an ARM architecture chip, the Chromebook offers exceptional efficiency, providing users with up to 17 hours of battery life. Its features include a high-resolution 14-inch OLED display, quad speakers enhanced with Dolby Atmos, multiple ports, a backlit keyboard, and a fanless design for silent operation even under heavy usage. Additionally, it incorporates the latest Wi-Fi 7 technology for faster internet connectivity.
As a Chromebook, it comes with various smart features powered by Google, such as instant photo editing, web searches using Google Lens, image creation tools, and a function called Help me read, which simplifies lengthy text passages. Users also have access to a wide range of Google apps like Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and Google Photos, along with millions of Android apps via the Play Store.
The starting price for the Chromebook Plus 14 is £599, with the option to customize the device with additional RAM and storage at an increased cost.
