Emmerdale star Amy Walsh and her on-screen partner from EastEnders, Toby-Alexander Smith, are anticipating the arrival of their second child. They shared the joyful update on social media, announcing that their family will soon grow to four members.
The couple, who already have a daughter named Bonnie born in 2022, expressed their excitement about expanding their family by posting, “Smith/Walsh baby 2.0 incoming 2026.”
Their fans quickly flooded them with congratulations, including EastEnders actress Clair Norris, known for her role as Bernie Taylor, who commented, “Sweetest video! Congratulations to you all!” Emmerdale’s Michelle Hardwick also joined in, saying, “So exciting!”
Amy portrays Tracy Robinson on the ITV soap, while Toby played the role of Gray Atkins, a villain and serial killer in EastEnders until his character’s imprisonment.
In a recent statement, Amy opened up about the challenges of balancing her family and career, admitting, “It’s just a juggle, a struggle sometimes… I’ve barely seen him since we got married. We do feel like newlyweds, we haven’t been together that long in the grand scheme of things so our relationship is still quite new and fresh but then you throw a toddler in the mix and work commitments and it’s crazy.”
The couple’s relationship began in 2020 after crossing paths in the audience at Strictly Come Dancing the previous year. Reflecting on the impact of becoming parents, Toby shared in an interview with OK! magazine, “We’ve always been a really good team anyway and I think Bonnie coming along has shown that we’re meant to be parents together, because we’re finding our roles.”
Their love story had an unexpected start at Strictly, which Amy described as a “twist of fate.” She recalled the coincidences that led to their meeting, highlighting how unexpected events ultimately brought them together.
