Dog’s Head Collision Leads to Life-Saving Tumor Discovery

Date:

A woman credits her pet dog for alerting her to a hidden brain tumor, potentially saving her life. Robyn Stonier had been suffering from unexplained headaches for three years, attributing them to hormonal changes or stress. However, during a family gathering in March last year, her dog Ember accidentally collided with her head, leading to persistent headaches and dizziness in the following days.

After experiencing difficulty walking straight, Robyn underwent a CT scan revealing a meningioma brain tumor. Subsequently, she underwent a lengthy brain surgery to remove the tumor, causing her to cancel her upcoming wedding. Initially deemed benign, the tumor was later confirmed as cancerous, necessitating further treatment with chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

Following successful treatment, Robyn is now cancer-free and praises her dog’s intuition for uncovering the tumor. Reflecting on the ordeal, Robyn emphasized the importance of seeking medical attention for persistent headaches and advocating for thorough diagnostic tests to detect underlying health issues early.
