“British Tourist Hospitalized After Knife Robbery in Lisbon”

A British visitor was hospitalized after being robbed at knifepoint by three assailants while enjoying a cityscape in Lisbon, as per local accounts. The man was assaulted in the early hours of the day while accompanied by his partner, sustaining knife injuries to his arm. He was subsequently transported to Sao Jose Hospital in the Portuguese capital. The robbers absconded with a gold necklace belonging to the couple.

The incident took place around 12:40 a.m. near Lisbon’s renowned Miradouro da Graca viewpoint, as reported by local media. The specific site was pinpointed as Arco do Graca Street, a well-liked location providing sweeping views of the historical city center.

Investigations are being carried out by Portugal’s Public Security Police; however, no arrests have been made as of yet. The identities of the British tourists involved have not been disclosed.

This incident follows the tragic killing of an American tourist on October 15 in the coastal town of Cascais, situated a 40-minute drive west of Lisbon. Initially presumed to be a failed robbery, the incident was later connected by law enforcement to a brawl near a nightclub. A 23-year-old suspect was apprehended in relation to the crime.
