Sharon Osbourne has shared that her spouse Ozzy experienced a fall that potentially led to his passing. In her recent appearance on the family podcast, she recounted the tragic incident, marking her first time on the show since the rock legend’s demise.
Ozzy Osbourne passed away in July this year after suffering a heart attack. His family has disclosed that his health had been deteriorating over a period and a sequence of health issues began in December the year before, following an episode of illness during a family vacation.
During their podcast, “The Osbournes,” Sharon, along with her son Jack, who is also participating in “I’m A Celebrity,” and her daughter Kelly, discussed the events leading up to Ozzy’s decline. This podcast episode marked the first time in more than a year that the entire family had recorded together.
Reports indicate that Ozzy had a significant fall in 2019, which caused displacement of metal rods in his back. However, this was the first mention of a subsequent fall. Sharon explained that the situation began to worsen in December of the previous year and that Ozzy sought medical attention after experiencing discomfort following a fall.
Jack revealed that his father had concealed the extent of his pain, mentioning that Ozzy had a fractured vertebra in his back. Sharon expressed doubts about Ozzy’s ability to recover from the fracture due to his age, history of substance abuse, and overall health condition.
This series of events led to a chain reaction, as Jack explained that Ozzy developed pneumonia and required surgery following the fall. The frontman of Black Sabbath passed away in July at the age of 76.
In another segment of the podcast, Sharon confessed to struggling with sleep since Ozzy’s passing. Kelly shared that mornings were particularly challenging for her as she momentarily forgets about her father’s death. She also acknowledged the overwhelming support and love from fans following Ozzy’s demise.
Sharon expressed disbelief at the immense outpouring of affection, highlighting that Ozzy never fully comprehended the depth of love directed towards him. She emphasized his humility and gratitude towards his fans.
