Sky TV customers are in for a treat as the company has unveiled a complimentary upgrade for some users, granting them access to Disney+ as part of the enhanced Sky Ultimate plan. This new inclusion allows subscribers to enjoy a wide range of Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars content at no extra cost.
The revamped Sky Ultimate package not only offers Disney+ but also promises the upcoming addition of HBO Max Basic and Hayu. The integration of Disney+ across Sky Glass, Sky Stream, and Sky Q platforms ensures a seamless viewing experience with features like Continue Watching, search functionality, and voice control.
In addition to the Disney+ integration, Sky Cinema subscribers will benefit from a dedicated Disney+ Cinema channel. For non-Sky customers, the Sky Ultimate package is now available to all UK households starting at £24 per month.
The £24 plan includes Netflix Standard with Ads, Disney+ Standard with Ads, HBO Max Basic with Ads (launching on 26 March in the UK & Ireland), Hayu (full access from July), and over 130 Sky channels. Sophia Ahmad, Sky’s Chief Consumer Officer, emphasized the company’s aim to simplify streaming by consolidating Sky, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and Hayu into a single subscription, offering viewers a unified entertainment experience.
Current customers will receive the expanded lineup at no extra charge, and NOW Entertainment users will access HBO Max within the app without additional fees. Sky’s initiative to streamline streaming services aligns with its goal of providing viewers with a more cohesive and user-friendly viewing experience.
