Apple has had a packed week unveiling a range of new products, including the iPhone 17e, upgraded iPad Air, and new MacBook Pro models featuring the latest M5 processors. Adding to the lineup, Apple has introduced the MacBook Neo, a budget-friendly laptop that many have been anticipating.
The MacBook Neo boasts a vibrant design, impressive performance, and a high-resolution 13-inch display, all priced at just £599, making it the most affordable Mac laptop available.
Compared to the latest MacBook Air, the Neo comes in at a significant £500 lower in price, offering a more accessible option for consumers.
Powered by Apple’s A18 Pro-series smartphone processor, the MacBook Neo may not match the speed of M-powered PCs but is more than capable of meeting everyday digital requirements. Running macOS, it provides access to popular applications like Microsoft Word, Pages, and iMovie.
With over 15 hours of battery life, the MacBook Neo is highly efficient, ensuring long-lasting usage without the need for frequent charging. It features two USB-C ports but lacks MagSafe charging.
Additionally, the laptop includes a 1080p FaceTime HD camera for video calls, a Touch ID fingerprint scanner, dual side-firing speakers supporting Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos, a Magic Keyboard, Multi-Touch trackpad, and comes in Silver, Indigo, Blush, and Citrus color options.
The MacBook Neo is now available for pre-order and will hit stores next week, offering a compelling blend of affordability and performance. Apple’s Senior Vice President of Hardware Engineering, John Ternus, expressed enthusiasm for the new product, emphasizing its unique features and value proposition.
