The affected product weighs 1412g and bears a use by date of July 25, 2025. Consumers who have purchased this item can return it to the nearest Waitrose store for a refund or contact Waitrose customer support at 0800 188 884. In an online notice, Waitrose expressed regret for the inconvenience caused by the recall.

Lidl also recently recalled batches of its fruit and nut bars amid concerns of plastic contamination. The recall covers Alesto Raw Fruit and Nut Bars with best before dates in November 2025 (batch code L24316) and December 2025 (batch code L24337). Meanwhile, Grape Tree recalled its Raw Unsalted Macadamia Nuts due to the presence of Shiga toxin-producing E.coli in one batch with batch code G41 5 101 250610 and a best before date of July 11, 2026.
