Nicola Golen’s goal in extra time secured a 2-2 draw for Ottawa Rapid against AFC Toronto at TD Place on Sunday. Golen’s equalizer in the 92nd minute earned the league leaders a valuable point in the standings. Melanie Forbes had opened the scoring for Ottawa (10-2-3) in the 13th minute, while Sarah Stratigakis and Shelina Zadorsky found the net for third-placed Toronto (7-4-4).

The match took a turn in the 63rd minute when both teams were reduced to 10 players following red cards shown to Choo Hyojoo of Rapid and Cloey Uddenberg of AFC Toronto. In other news, TD Place in Ottawa was named as the host venue for the upcoming Northern Super League final scheduled for November 14.
