A recent royal analyst criticized Prince Harry for making questionable business decisions after he and Meghan Markle left the royal family and moved to California.
Contrary to this view, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond believes that the Duke of Sussex is more intelligent than perceived, highlighting the couple’s unique path post-royal duties. Additionally, royal expert Tina Brown, a friend of the late Princess Diana, disapproved of the couple’s active professional life and newfound Hollywood status.
Brown expressed to the New York Times that Meghan has made numerous professional mistakes, and she implied that Harry also lacks discernment. She remarked on Meghan’s influence on Harry’s decisions and criticized their career choices away from Buckingham Palace.
Contrary to Brown’s perspective, Jennie Bond refuted claims about Harry’s intelligence, stating that while he may not excel academically, he is far from being unintelligent. She referenced Princess Diana’s similar portrayal and defended Harry’s capabilities as a public figure.
Regarding the Duke and Duchess’ post-royal careers, Jennie noted their initial struggles but acknowledged their success in various ventures. She commended Meghan’s humility in acknowledging her business errors and highlighted the couple’s adjustment to their new life in California, especially Harry’s significant transition.
While the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have embraced their Californian lifestyle without nostalgia for their royal past, Jennie observed their contentment with their current business and charity endeavors. She remarked on their settled and happy demeanor in their respective roles, emphasizing the importance of their chosen paths.
