Virgin Media TV has introduced two new channels, Stingray Classica (Ch296) and Stingray DJAZZ (Ch297), just in time for the festive season. These channels, known as FAST channels, offer a range of musical content such as world premieres, concerts, films, and artist interviews, available for free viewing round the clock.
Stingray Classica (Ch296) focuses on classical music, opera, and ballet, catering to both experts and newcomers in the genre. The channel boasts 50 world premieres annually, featuring performances from top concert halls, festivals, and opera houses. It also offers high-quality documentaries, exclusive classical music programs, and weekly premieres.
For jazz enthusiasts, Stingray DJAZZ (Ch297) presents jazz concerts, films, portraits, and documentaries from various venues and festivals. The channel also includes artist profiles, interviews, and backstage reports for a comprehensive jazz experience.
These new music channels complement Virgin’s existing lineup of 32 FAST channels, such as British Screen Classics, U&Transport, Inside Crime, and Haunt TV. Customers can access these channels through Virgin’s set-top boxes using the Electronic Programme Guide (EPG) as part of the company’s expanding FAST channel selection.
