Virgin Media is launching a new entertainment upgrade for its TV platform, providing customers with three bonus channels at no extra cost. The addition of Rakuten’s Free Ad-Supported Streaming Television (FAST) channels includes Rakuten TV Drama on Ch462 featuring popular movies like The Big Short and JFK. Customers can also enjoy Rakuten TV Comedy on Ch463 with films such as Big Momma’s House and Bedazzled. Additionally, Rakuten TV: Sci Fi on Ch464 offers a variety of content from the sci-fi genre.
The new channels will be automatically added to Virgin TV 360 and Flex, making it convenient for users to access the content without any additional steps. David Bouchier, Chief TV and Entertainment Officer at Virgin Media O2, expressed excitement about the launch, highlighting the value and quality entertainment the channels bring to customers.
With this update, Virgin TV customers now have access to a total of 40 FAST channels, enhancing their viewing options. While a subscription fee is required for Virgin Media TV, the expanded channel lineup offers a superior selection compared to free services.
