The 22-year-old from Utah has been taken into custody in connection with the fatal shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. Following an extensive police investigation, Robinson’s identity was unveiled, with authorities diligently working to apprehend the alleged perpetrator.
Utah state and local police officials apprehended him on Thursday night, holding him without bail. President Donald Trump confirmed the arrest during a Fox News appearance, mentioning that “someone very close” to the suspect facilitated his surrender to the authorities.
Sources revealed that the detained individual confessed to his father about being the shooter. Despite this, his upbringing and family environment appear typical, characterized by love and support, with reports indicating his father, Matt Robinson, as a long-serving member of the Washington County Sheriff’s Department, and his mother, Amber Robinson, working as a care provider.
Residing in a sizable property valued at $600,000 in Washington, Utah, Robinson is described as “very respectful and quiet” by a neighbor, who also noted his sociable nature and intelligence, attributing it to his nurturing family background.
