“US Defense Secretary: Department of War Promotes Peace”

Date:

US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has emphasized that the recently named “Department of War” is primarily aimed at advancing peace, asserting that peace is the ultimate goal even amidst military actions. Hegseth, a key figure at the Pentagon, stated that preparing for war is essential for maintaining peace and ensuring the well-being of the American populace.

Critics were swift to highlight the paradox in Hegseth’s stance. Even within his own Republican party, Rand Paul criticized the airstrike on a suspected cartel boat, which resulted in the death of 11 individuals without substantial evidence, labeling it as a disregard for human life and legal procedures.

In Hegseth’s view, the use of military force is his way of promoting peace and security, viewing each missile strike as a gesture of love and tranquility.
