“Trump’s Fake Gold Décor Exposed as Plastic Imitation”

Date:

President Trump’s claim that he transformed the White House into a luxurious spectacle has been debunked after investigations revealed that his decorations are actually imitation gold plastic molds worth around £43. Despite Trump’s repeated assertions that his Oval Office makeover featured authentic gold elements, keen observers have found that the wall coverings and fireplace fixtures were sourced from a mainstream retailer similar to B&Q in the United States.

The adornments, labeled as “polyurethane appliqué & onlay molding,” are retailed by the popular DIY chain Home Depot for just $58.07 (£42.92). Notably, the founders of Home Depot were prominent supporters of Trump, with Bernie Marcus, one of the co-founders who passed away last year, being a significant donor to the president.

While the origins of the decorations were surprisingly affordable, Trump has staunchly maintained that his gilded Oval Office is truly opulent. Despite claims from White House staff that the gold features were top-notch quality and that the president personally funded the enhancements, online investigators revealed that the so-called gold furnishings were mass-produced plastic items from Home Depot.

The revelation has sparked widespread mockery on social media platforms, with users ridiculing the faux gold décor found in the Oval Office. This unexpected revelation has dealt a blow to Trump’s image, tarnishing the once-prized décor of the Oval Office as a symbol of excessive DIY extravagance rather than grandeur.
