It’s voting day in the United States, and Donald Trump is expected to face challenges.
There is a possibility that the Republican Party may lose control of the Governor’s offices in New Jersey and Virginia. Additionally, Zohran Mamdani is likely to become the Mayor of New York City, Trump’s hometown.
Speculation suggests that Trump might view having a political adversary in New York as an opportunity. Some individuals have theorized that a single street crime video going viral could prompt Trump to declare an emergency and intervene in the city. This conjecture is circulating in Washington.
In a controversial move, President Trump has threatened to withhold federal funding from New York City if Zohran Mamdani wins the upcoming mayoral election. Trump, labeling Mamdani a communist, expressed doubts about the city’s future under Mamdani’s leadership. He urged his supporters to vote for Andrew Cuomo over the Republican candidate, Curtis Sliwa.
Trump further alleged, without evidence, that voting for Democratic gubernatorial candidates could lead to a fourfold increase in energy prices. He criticized polls showing his declining popularity, insisting that only certain polls accurately reflect his high approval ratings.
In a separate incident, footage emerged showing ICE agents in Chicago apprehending an American citizen after a collision with protesters. The individual was later released without facing any charges.
Amidst the political tumult, it has been revealed that House Speaker Mike Johnson seems unaware of significant news events, despite his prominent role in American politics.
During a recent interview, Trump dodged questions about controversial pardons and allegations of corruption. Notably, the extended version of the interview did not include a segment where Trump discussed potential walkouts due to inquiries about corruption.
