Film enthusiasts and celebrities are heading to Toronto, the largest city in Canada, to attend the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). The 51st edition of TIFF kicks off on Thursday, showcasing nearly 300 films and featuring renowned actors such as Javier Bardem, Cynthia Erivo, and Seth Rogen.

On Day 2 of the festival, fans of K-pop sensation Lisa had the opportunity to see her at the premiere of her documentary “Always Lalisa” at Roy Thomson Hall. Meanwhile, the cast and crew of “The Stunt Driver,” which stars Jay Baruchel and Ed Helms, graced the red carpet. Director Michael Dowse expressed his belief that Baruchel was the perfect fit for the role of Canadian daredevil Ken Carter after seeing his performance in the film “Blackberry.”
Rebel Wilson, alongside Jennifer Coolidge and Randall Park, promoted “Girl Group,” a film she wrote, directed, and starred in, at Roy Thomson Hall. Actor James McAvoy also made an appearance, signing autographs before the premiere of his supernatural drama “Faith” at the Royal Alexandra Theatre. Co-star Smylie Bradwell, playing the son of a single mother in the film, was also present at the premiere.
Director Adrian Buitenhuis attended the festival to promote “Man in Motion: The Rick Hansen Story” at Roy Thomson Hall. Later, Rick Hansen himself arrived on the red carpet for the premiere. The festival’s first day saw workers rolling out the red carpet for the opening film “Being Heumann” by Siân Heder, as well as the Canadian premieres of “Fjord,” “The Housewife,” and “Stuffed.”
At the Royal Alexandra Theatre, Jodie Comer from “Killing Eve” attended the premiere of “Stuffed,” while actor Naomi Watts greeted fans at the red carpet for her film “The Housewife,” directed by Canadian filmmaker Ben Shirinian. “The Housewife” is a historical drama based on a true story, focusing on a couple portrayed by Watts and Luke Evans.
