‘The Nuke’ Luke Littler Set to Shine at PDC World Youth Championship

Date:

Luke Littler, known as ‘The Nuke,’ has officially announced his participation in the upcoming PDC World Youth Championship. His recent victory at the World Grand Prix, where he defeated world No. 1 Luke Humphries with a scoreline of 6-1, has propelled his decision to compete in the youth championship in Wigan starting Monday.

Having clinched his first title at the World Grand Prix, Littler expressed his eagerness to add more trophies to his collection. Despite his young age of 18, Littler is eligible to compete in the World Youth Championship, having previously won the tournament in 2023 by defeating Gian van Veen in the final.

Notably, Littler skipped last year’s competition, which saw Van Veen emerge victorious. However, Littler’s return to the youth championship has sparked excitement among fans and players alike. With his recent success, Littler is now in close pursuit of Humphries in the PDC Order of Merit, aiming to claim the top spot in the rankings.

Littler’s journey to victory at the World Grand Prix was challenging but rewarding. He showcased his skills by defeating top competitors, including Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton, before ultimately securing the title with a dominant 6-1 win over Humphries. Reflecting on his achievement, Littler expressed his determination to continue striving for excellence and potentially reach the coveted World No. 1 position in the future.
