“Tesco Unveils 270 New Frozen Products, Partners with Top Brands”

Date:

Tesco recently unveiled 270 new and enhanced products in its frozen range, marking the largest overhaul since 2018. The supermarket has refreshed its lineup of brands, now offering items from renowned names like Greggs, Crosta Mollica, Zizzi, White Rabbit, Kitchen Joy, and Itsu, along with newcomers Street Snacks and Craft Pizza.

In addition to partnering with external brands, Tesco has updated its own-label frozen products, including providing air-fryer instructions for energy-conscious consumers. The retailer has expanded its Finest frozen selection with a variety of new options, ranging from pizzas and pies to poultry, fish, meat, and desserts.

Furthermore, Tesco has kickstarted the festive season for shoppers by introducing Christmas favorites such as Finest Beef Wellington, Finest Pigs in Blankets, Finest Potato Dauphinoise, and Finest White Chocolate, Mascarpone, Raspberry, and Blueberry Cheesecake.

The supermarket has revamped over 50 products with improved recipes and refreshed packaging. Within the meat, fish, and poultry categories, Tesco has introduced 17 new items and enhanced seven existing favorites. Research conducted by Tesco revealed that a significant portion of consumers enjoy frozen food at least twice a week.

Naomi Kasolowsky, Tesco’s Frozen Category Director, expressed excitement about the extensive changes implemented in the frozen aisle, emphasizing the introduction of over 270 new and improved products. She highlighted the exceptional quality, convenience, and value that frozen food offers, anticipating a positive reception from customers as they enhance both the Tesco range and introduce new brands.

On a separate note, Tesco recently adjusted the price of its meal deal, with Clubcard members now paying £3.85, up from £3.60. For non-Clubcard holders, the cost has increased from £4 to £4.25. The most popular items in the Tesco meal deal include the Tesco Chicken Club Sandwich as the main, Tesco Egg Protein Pot as the snack, and a 500ml Coca-Cola drink, which collectively cost £6.50 when bought separately, translating to a saving of £2.65 for Clubcard members.

This latest price adjustment marks the third increase for Clubcard members and the fourth for non-members since earlier this year. Tesco plans to introduce new products to its premium meal deal in the near future.
