Team Mount Pearl South emerged victorious over Team Avalon in a thrilling gold medal match, with thirteen-year-old Raine Foss from Paradise clinching the winning goal. Expressing his delight, Raine recounted the play that led to the decisive goal and emphasized the significance of representing MPS at the event.
Teammate Reid Swain shared his excitement about departing Corner Brook with a gold medal, highlighting the team’s dedication and surprise at their success. Despite not achieving the desired medal color, Ryan Walsh from Team Avalon cherished the camaraderie and experiences gained during the tournament. Team Central secured the bronze, a source of pride for fourteen-year-old Jack Stone from Grand Falls-Windsor, who described the feeling of winning a medal as euphoric and unexpected.
