The renowned Red Arrows aerobatic display team is scheduled to conduct a flyover above a section of London en route to an airshow in Guernsey tomorrow.
Nine skilled pilots, piloting Hawk T1 jets, will execute a precision flying demonstration over Woolwich Barracks on Wednesday. Spectators outside the capital will also have an opportunity to witness the team as they depart from near Lincoln, flying through the East Midlands before passing over London for the flyover.
The Red Arrows, established in 1965, are famous for their Diamond Nine formation, making them easily recognizable during their flights. The team has showcased their talents in numerous displays worldwide. The squadron will kick off their flight from RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire at 9.36am tomorrow.
Their route will take them south, flying over Peterborough and Harlow before reaching London. Subsequently, they will head south over Sussex and conclude their journey at the Guernsey Air Display 2025, where they are scheduled to perform at 6.36pm.
For those interested in observing the Red Arrows in London, they will be visible over Valentines Park in Ilford at 9.59am and Woolwich Barracks at 10am, as per a published flight plan. These plans, called Notices to Airmen (NOTAM), are issued to inform pilots of potential hazards along a flight path or at a specific location.
While these flight notices provide an approximate route and timings for the Red Arrows, they are subject to change or cancellation at short notice due to factors such as weather conditions or operational requirements.
The Red Arrows will wrap up their 2025 Flying Season with a farewell display on October 4 at the former RAF site in Duxford, commemorating the highlights of their flying events throughout the year.
