Vladimir Putin has proudly admitted to allowing a NATO spy ship to monitor Russia’s recent nuclear missile test intentionally, showcasing Russia’s possession of the most powerful long-range weapon globally. The Russian leader has also issued warnings of a potential World War III by disclosing the development of even more formidable nuclear missiles. Putin highlighted the capabilities of Russia’s Burevestnik nuclear missile, dubbed the ‘Flying Chernobyl,’ asserting its superiority over all existing missile systems worldwide. The missile reportedly flew a remarkable 8,700 miles during a 15-hour test following a launch in the Arctic.
During an awards ceremony honoring the scientists behind the new Burevestnik and Poseidon missile systems, Putin praised the high target accuracy and exceptional performance of the Burevestnik missile. He mentioned that foreign experts, including those on the NATO reconnaissance ship present during the test, could attest to its capabilities. Putin emphasized that Russia did not interfere with the ship’s surveillance to demonstrate the missile’s prowess.
The Burevestnik missile, developed by thousands of Russian scientists and workers, is designed to stay airborne for extended periods before pinpointing and striking enemy vulnerabilities. Putin also commended the Poseidon underwater drone, powered by its atomic reactor, capable of potentially causing radioactive tidal waves in Western nations. Despite the formidable nature of these weapons, Putin revealed plans for a new generation of weapons, including nuclear-powered cruise missiles with unprecedented speeds surpassing supersonic levels and potentially reaching hypersonic speeds in the future.
Putin informed Russia’s munitions experts that the advancements in technology not only benefit military capabilities but also have applications in space and Arctic exploration. He mentioned civilian applications such as utilizing mini nuclear reactors for energy in remote areas and the development of digital infrastructure and communication systems using components from the Burevestnik and Poseidon projects.
While Putin boasted about Russia’s nuclear arsenal, Ukraine struck the headquarters of Russia’s elite Rubicon drone unit in Avdiyivka, Donetsk region. The strike, carried out by Ukraine’s GUR military intelligence agency, targeted the Rubicon center, known for deploying combat UAVs in the ongoing conflict with Ukraine. The GUR stated that the strike successfully eliminated officers and operators of Russian UAVs in the headquarters, emphasizing the importance of countering Russian aggression in Ukraine.
Additionally, Ukraine launched attacks on multiple Russian power plants in Oryol and Vladimir regions overnight, escalating tensions between the two nations.
