Prince Andrew vehemently denied any involvement in the sex abuse allegations linked to Jeffrey Epstein. In a series of emails, he expressed his frustration and demanded that Epstein refute the claims. The exchanges involved Ghislaine Maxwell and legal representatives, and were triggered by media inquiries about Andrew’s association with Epstein and Virginia Giuffre.
Separately, documents from the US House Oversight Committee revealed that Peter Mandelson advised Epstein against a BBC interview regarding the allegations. Mandelson later expressed remorse over his past ties with Epstein. As scrutiny intensified, Andrew faced pressure and was stripped of his royal title by King Charles following a settlement with Giuffre.
In a previous BBC interview, Andrew claimed no memory of meeting Giuffre but acknowledged his interactions with Epstein. He mentioned visits to Epstein’s properties and confirmed encounters with Epstein and Maxwell at royal premises. Despite the ongoing controversy, Andrew indicated his willingness to testify under oath if legally required.
