Outrage as Nursery Worker Mistreats Toddler

Date:

A video capturing a nursery worker allegedly mistreating a toddler by grabbing the child’s arm and shouting profanities directly at the child’s face has caused a stir. The incident, which has gained significant attention online, left a three-year-old boy traumatized and prompted his mother, Brittany Farley, to withdraw him from KinderCare Learning Centre in Kentucky.

An eyewitness who had previously heard yelling at the nursery recorded the video and shared it with Farley, who was shocked to discover that the distressed child in the footage was her son. Farley expressed her horror upon realizing the situation, stating, “I am like, oh my gosh, that’s his teacher, and then I look closer, and I hear the crying, and I am like, oh my gosh, that’s my son. That is his cry, and then I look at the shoes and I am like, okay… It just set in, kind of panic.”

Farley expressed concerns about other children possibly being traumatized by the same caregiver, recalling an incident a year ago when her son claimed he was slapped by a daycare worker. Although initially dismissing it due to lack of visible marks, she raised the issue with daycare staff out of worry.

Expressing her desire for the caregiver to be prohibited from working with children, Farley emphasized, “I would like to see her never work with children again. She doesn’t deserve to work with children.” KinderCare responded by confirming the termination of the teacher involved and assuring that they prioritize children’s safety in their programs.

The childcare facility stated, “Nothing is more important to us than the safety of the children in our programs. We do not tolerate this type of behavior in our school, and the teacher involved is no longer an employee of KinderCare.” They further mentioned their cooperation with the child’s family and relevant authorities, affirming that the incident was reported to state licensing.

Despite police review, the worker will not face prosecution in this case, as reported by authorities.
