“Molly-Mae Hague Wins Best Documentary at NTAs 2025”

Date:

Molly-Mae Hague achieved a significant milestone in her career at the 2025 National Television Awards on Wednesday night. She won the Best Authored Documentary award for her Amazon Prime series, “Molly-Mae: Behind It All.”

The 26-year-old former Love Island star was surprised and thrilled when her name was announced as the winner, triumphing over competitors like Strictly Come Dancing’s Amy Dowden and Rob Burrow. The documentary chronicled Molly-Mae’s journey of healing and coping with heartbreak following her breakup with her fiancé, professional boxer Tommy Fury.

Her six-part series, which quickly became a top-watched program on Amazon Prime upon its debut in January, also shed light on Molly-Mae’s challenges as a parent co-parenting her two-year-old daughter Bambi with Tommy, who was struggling with alcohol problems at the time.

Despite facing tough competition, including nominees like Amy Dowden and Freddie Flintoff, many critics argued that Molly-Mae’s documentary lacked the emotional depth of others. However, Molly-Mae dedicated her win to Rob Burrow, a nominee who passed away in 2024 from motor neurone disease.

In her speech, Molly-Mae acknowledged the inspiring stories of her fellow nominees and expressed gratitude for the recognition. She emphasized the importance of raising awareness about motor neurone disease, a cause close to her heart.

The award-winning star’s humility and tribute to Rob Burrow resonated with the audience, highlighting the impact of storytelling and resilience in facing life’s challenges.
